SAZCOM is an Australian communications consultancy founded in 2008.
We are public relations, media relations and government relations specialists. We will work to devise and execute a communications strategy that supports your business strategy or your policy and advocacy work. We are all about impact and outcomes.
We are focused on human rights, social justice, disability rights, public health, innovation and education.
In today’s competitive media landscape important stories about human rights, social justice, disability, education, and public health sometimes struggle to be told.
Predominantly the domain of the not-for-profit sector, there are stories and cases that need to be presented in order to build public awareness, advocate for change, and sometimes to grab the attention of the powers that be. We know about the challenges and delights of working in the not-for-profit world.
SAZCOM has worked with a number of organisations providing media and communications counsel and driving major projects and campaigns.
SAZCOM is dedicated to championing the stories and work of a range of wonderful organisations, giving a voice to those who often are not heard, and shaking things up a bit when needed. We like to be creative.
Sara Irvine is the managing director and holds Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Masters of Journalism from the University of Technology, Sydney. Sara has worked on projects nationally and overseas with particular expertise in stakeholder communications and media relations. Sara was shortlisted for Publicist of the Year at Mumbrella’s CommsCon Awards in 2014.
From 2014 to 2018 Sara took a break from consulting and was the Communications and Operations Director at First Peoples Disability Network (FPDN).
SAZCOM Consulting will relaunch in 2018 with a focus on social justice, human rights, education, justice, disability and health and will continue to work on projects with FPDN.
